Since requested in the 'Arctic Monkeys Rumour' thread, i
thought i would make up a new thread where we can be hatin',
innit blud.

So what bands do you hate and why?

maroon 5 for obvious reasons
and in the same bag goes franz ferdinand and every band that
even has a distant relative that ever listened to either of
those bands.

everything that sounds remotely like radiohead including
radiohead

brit pop

"funny musics" and the streets go in this bag

punkrock.

I dont like all those american bands like staind and incubus
and audioslave thta have the same singer who sounds like hes
doing a bad irish accent all the time

I agree. Or the Emo lead singer in so many bands sounding
exactly the same...i don't know, the 'hardXcore' scene is
pretty rubbish.

Why does Richard Ashcroft keep going, bellowing out the same
old cod "visionary" drug addled bluster. His voice is like
fucking Harry Enfield's Kevin the teenager honking and
groaning. Just belt up!

And ever since someone pointed out Coldplay's Chris Martin
sings like Alan Partridge I can't take their music
seriously.

Morrisey?? come on... he's old school, you gotta love
Morissey. And Franz Ferdinands album is fucking awesome,
really fun cool summer shit. And dont even complain about
Hot Hot Heat cause his voice is awesome.

Ahhh, call it what you want if it sounds good, fun to listen
to and over all is music that isnt all together shitty like
Black Eyed Peas, Shakira, Ashlee Simpson, Sean Fuckin Paul
or the pathetic bands like The All American Rejects or Fall
Out Boy. And my least favorite The PussyCat Dolls----Over
all these "artist" sing and dance and make sure the amerian
people like them w/o giving thought of what they're playing
or even why-they just listen to their agents and do what
they're told... CRAPCRAPCRAP

street who want's to come off as "hip" and "alternative"
always loves Tool.

I think the Pussycat Dolls and Panic at the disco are
symbolic of the sorry state of popular music.

yeah, I thought you meant 'rubbish' type names.

Fuckin lay off Morrissey!

nice use of the word 'hip'!

It upsets me to hear the Black Eye Peas, T'harctic Munkeez,
HardFi (especially as they nicked their name from a Lee
Scratch Perry comment), Will Young, Muse (although I'm aware
of their critical acclaim), MTV laced ShitHop, PopHop,
PipHop, HipPap, PapRap and anything else people mistake for
HipHop.
Zero 7, Dido, Jamriquaiiseaiiiiii, Franz Turdinhand, Kaiser
Cheifs, or anything else sounding vaguely first world war,
with the exception of Sopwith Camel (but they don't count
cuz that was 40 years ago)
Jammie Cullum is not Jazz, and if he is, he shouldn't be
allowed to.
The music you get on 'Teen Movies', The
Liberteens/babyshambles etc, anything the nme champion,
Crunk music, clownstep dnb, Graham Coxon, Editors and
anything Zane Lowe advertises.
Beyonce et al......

I feel alot better now.

and Dirty South are wrong by the way, me and my mate Diver
invented crunk hiphop for a laugh in about 98. We didn't
call it crunk though....

....not that I'm bitter...

didn't invent bitter though.

he's one of the best rock voices ever.

==========

and i hate those radio rock hits with the words "baby"
"missing" "why" in lyrics.
