Need MIDI help!

Hi. Since I just bought my first synth i've been playing
with MIDI to get my FL to play things on the synth. The only
problem is that I can't get it to work, and I think it has
something to do with the channel setup.
Equipment:
M-Audio Ozone
Alesis Micron

The MIDI-out from the Ozone is connected to the MIDI-in on
the Micron, and when I play on the Ozone, the Micron plays
is. Now all I have to do is get FL to play through the
Ozone, but when making a track with FL MIDIout, nothing
happens though I've set up every MIDI preference to Ozone in
FL. What's wrong?

The ozone is your default audiocard right? and its designed
to act as a midi interface for your computer if I am not
mistaken?

Does your ozone have a 'midi through' port? Try using that.

Also make sure that you have flp controller set to the same
channel as the micron.

Midi is pretty basic, but when it doesn't work, it can be
infuriating, and its usually something so simple it makes
you feel like an ass afterwards. Its an old technology, but
its also hard to update due to every single synthesizer
being midi.

I really feel like I didn't help you there. The micron
should be simple to do midi in with. That shouldn't be the
problem, I can tell you that.

I'll fiddle around with it some more...I can try my
Gameport/Midi-cable instead.

are you using your ozone with usb or do you have a midi out
from ur comp going to the midi in on the ozone? because if
youre using it with usb, it aint gonna work that way.
