Picked one up, guess it has a SCSI card and 8 outs.

Not an s2000, but I have an s950, which rocks and sounds
delightfully awful, and I have an mpc1000 which has a
similar engine to the s2000, and I used to have an mpc2000
which has the identical engine, and I can tell you it
sounded great.

I rate akai samplers very highly. I wouldn't suggest or buy
any other brand.

I have an S5000 and have NO stories. This is because it is a
rack mount sampler :p
