I saw this docu about google a while ago and it's fucking
scary how much info these guys have and how much more info
they are getting.

they are working on a system right now that has the ability
to contain everything about a person. that means simple
things like height and how much you weigh but also very
secret medical information. they are already experimenting
with this system in hospitals. so that means you could just
type in the name of a person and BAM! you know everything
you want to know about him.

another scary thing is that the first time you visited
google and searched something a folder with your computer
number was created on their servers and everything you've
searched for has been stored there. I know this has been
known for a longer time. but it really is frightening what
people can do with this information if you stop for a second
and think about it.

seems to me these google cats are becoming no different then
microsoft. the affair with the chinese gouvernement they had
also confirmes that they've lost all ideals.

what are your views on this?

Well, any information that they have on you is information
you've freely given them using their service. I don't know
what the big suprise is. All companies retain data of their
customers. Google aren't worth billions because they keep
emptying their massive recycle bin.

no.. if that's all true, then this info would be only
accessible to those in high places, or those who pay
enough.. it wouldn't be opened up to the whole world

sure, google (and friends) have access to a huge amount of
information about a person; but it's only accurate if you're
providing accurate information. this has been obvious for a
long time.

for example, if you think your xlt identify is anonymous, it
likely isn't. based off your google searches/location/etc,
they'd probably have a pretty good clue who you really are.
then you've got google ads plastered all over this website.
it wouldn't be hard for google to crossreference this if
they wanted to, based off what threads you've been posting
in et al.

google have some *very* clueful engineers working for them;
i bet some of their internal projects are scary as hell.
they've definitely got the ability to collect enough data to
do some incredible stuff. one just hopes this is for the
better good, and they've been a reasonable company thus
far.

just don't treat anything on the interweb as private, that's
all i'm going to say :-)

dollars worth of Google server data to tell me what you've
been up to!
