hi i wonder what any of you guys think of this song or
video

that is Prince-Black Sweat
by Prince

i myself find this to be odd coming from prince and it seems
quite experimental, coming from that i admire a few of
Princes earlier songs.

I liked 'Fury' so I downloaded the album, but it made me
giggle too much so I killed it

in between it all are some fucking awesome tunes.

the radio.

Prince has always been on the edge. A lot of his stuff from
the eighties still sounds "underground" compared to a lot of
music being made today. Don't listen to the pop ballads.
Pick up an album, and you will hear some seriously strange
sounds.

prince is similar to aphex twin in some ways yeah, really
original and personal and interesting up till 1987, the
black album. after this point he got confused by >allegedly<
a rejection of marriage, friends betrayal, drug
experimentation, business problems, a crap posse/new band
around him.... he forgot about technology and started going
backwards
in 78-84 he was down with moogs and linn drums and pretty
techno actually - if ONLY he released instrumentals, it;s
his singing, tho one of the best around, that lets him down.
we don;t need singing. since 88 and lovesexy he has been a
tired old man - i saw him dissing electronic music when he
was in his slave faze, complaining that kids now can;t play
guitar.... small minded midget prick. having said that, he
is my favorite artist of all time, along with kraftwerk,
drexciya and aphex, people like that... this is not a matter
of opinion it is solid fact and i dare him to get on here
and argue the point, when i'll apologise for insulting him
too :O)

I liked the song itself when I heard it on MTV one night
over Spring Break. The video didn't do much for me, and
anything to do with sweat grosses me out.. just the word
even makes me uncomfortable.. so that was a bit off putting
too. But still, I like Prince and this track is an assload
better than Musicology.

i just made a dancey mix with tons of Prince on it... i love
a lot of his older stuff... stuff you can move your body
to.
I also put some ween, beck, air and the sort.

havn't heard this song yet tho... i will check it out as
soon as i go home

Nothing beats early prince. Can't stnd his new stuff. I'm
not black enough. No cocoa butter for me, just your plain
old land 'o lakes, thank you.

nothing special, I'd say. hardly 'on the edge' either.
