can anyone tell me what these are asking me for? How can I work out my Computer's CIOS type or what my Motherboard is? All I want to do is return my broken mp3 player to Zen but their customer support number doesnt work and if I do it through email they say I must know these things..
BIOS type/revision __________
Motherboard/Chipset __________
anyone? I'm baffled, thanks in advance.

Press f8 while booting and you will get in the bios... And for the MotherBoard maybe you should open the case...

At the very beginning of the booting sequence you see the graphiocs card type, then POST (Power On Self Test) starts and you can have a peak at you BIOS type and probably its revision number. Below you can see the chipset type. Then there should be memory test and IDE drives. I don't think the manufacturer or the type of your MB is reported. You should be able to use the pause button during the booting sequence.
As mr communist said, you can press del and access BIOS. There you are sure to find the BIOS type and the revision number also.
