how many clichés are (somewhat) true?

people who never knew their (biological) parents - do they
have a feeling that "something is missing" their whole life
(and is finding their biological parents that
important)?

are women in predominately "BURLY MAN BURLY MAN!!!" jobs
(police, construction, etc) tomboys?

are all people who work in IT and such losers who collect
19283476 gbs of porn because they can't get a girl?

do old men in the southern states of america always have a
shotgun with them for "shootin' them negroes" and do people
marry their cousins and sisters more frequently there than
in other places?

ask and answer if you can

Not adding much here, but i think to a certain degree, a
cliche cant just come out of nothing. For example, "black
people are stupid" is a cliche, but it only became that
because there is a certain degree of truth in it.

exactly, clichés don't come from nothing, but.. I was
wondering to which extent they hold true.. in how many cases
would a cliché best describe reality?

"black people are stupid" isn't really a cliché, though.. a
cliché would be that black people always try to "find their
roots" in africa or whatever... which would be another
cliche-question: is it so?

I agree. But i was trying to make the point, that a cliche
can also come out of ignorance, i suppose. Also, a cliche i
never got. Why do gay people speak funny? Where does it come
from?

oh, yeah.. ignorance is probably the source of most of the
things we say every day, so that sounds about right...

there are some gay people that speak funny, and I guess
those are the ones you notice (the ones that just act like
normal people.. well, you wouldn't think about it then,
would you?)...

It still seems like the quantity of funny speaking people is
higher in the gay community.

well, yes, because they are who are doing it (on purpose).
it's some silly "identity" thingie or something... a
heterosexual person has no reason to speak like that unless
he's trying to be funny...
