'Graham Hoskins, former President of the Australian Music
Association and 30-year veteran of musical instrument
retailing, has stated that:

It's a very exciting instrument, and it could be huge.'

AN AUSSIE
RIGHT ON!

That looks shite. Do the people who think up these wacky
inventions really think they're going to
revolutionise the world of music with something that offers
an inferior UI to a piano/keyboard?

major chord on this one.

in fact, let's all discard anything more advanced than a
guitar; it's obviously the best instrument since every
fucking drunk ever can pick it up and play "neste sommer" by
de lillos.

It is important to argue about these things. Arguing on the
internet is the only way to decide if something is good/bad.

i think this interface seems very interesting and promising.
it could be abused for all sorts of fantastically nefarious
purposes...

I remember reading Robert Fripp saying that Roland told him
they were very surprised at what he did with their guitar
synth - they didn't expect anyone to do anything quite so
interesting and sophisticated with it. They expected people
to do much cheesier shittier things.

So ya never know.

Hey, no one ever expected artists to create highly
influential fine art out of urinals either.

musical keyboard for an old yamaha music computer and it was
dope

in retrospect, i wonder if i could have just plugged a midi
keyboard in to play it... it might only be able to use the
midi for sync.

oh well i was pretty young and didnt have or know anything
about midi stuff

erm i am and have actually. but the thread was just a joke,
it's not indicative of any bias against new technology or
anything. some folk take things a bit too seriously around
here. i just thought it was funny, assume the best in your
fellow man=]
