at the moment i have a seriously BIG craving for
john cleese comedy, so can anyone recommend some items for
viewing (outside of the monty python films/episodes and
fawlty towers)?

nice one, jack

I quite like "A fish called Wanda". "clockwise" is also
quite funny in a drab, '80s way.

AVOID "fierce creatures" however. it is Officially Shit.

i have to see the fish called wanda if it's a cleese film.
as a member of the monty python flying circus he is the God.

he wrote it and plays the main character.

it's more a mainstream comedy though, has little to do with
Python (comedywise).

oh yeah, i've seen fish called wanda - a classic - and, it's
supposed sequel, fierce creatures - not a classic.

i saw clockwise in a shop earlier today, and that's actually
what sparked off my uncontrollable craving.

I seem to remember he had a video called How to Irritate
People, or something along those lines

Kevin Kline owned that movie. "Don't call me stupid" I like
Palin as well.

definitelly one of my favourite commedians. even if the film
really sucks, i have a look if he's in it. such a great
sense of humour!

I like this guy ! Funny little guy. I like both the Pythons
and his films like A Fish called Wanda ! I seriously laugh
when I first see this movie !

yeah, i watched that the other day - classic python.

it's a shame that they changed so much of particular scenes,
in order for them to fit into the film. the dead parrot
sketch misses 'notlob'.

---fact of the day---

...john cleeses' name is actually john cheese

-that's funnier than all of 'fierce creatures' put
together...

he's in Rat Race as well, which I think is one of the
funniest comedy films of the last decade. All the big names
(Seth Green, Whoopie Goldberg, that fat dude from Jurrasic
Park with the glasses) are on top form and its definately
worth seeing for a fan of Cleese, although hee isn't really
that funny in it.

Just steer clear from 'Die Another Day', he's not really a
very funny Q.

to be fair to him, starring as Q must give him a fat
pension.
