I'm not generally much of a gamer, but that looks pretty
bloody mindboggling, aye.

what frustrates me a bit is that when it will be released i
won't be able to play it : /

(i've got a 4-year-old mac... can't even play world of
warcraft on mine, i have to use my brothers' one)

Fabulous. Reminds of E.V.O for SNES, but on a much grander
scale.

sweet!

Its a shame that the guy giving the demo says "um" every 4
seconds.

yes, i had noticed that too.

understandable though... it must be stressful to give a
presentation to a lot of people, probably including
important people, even if what you're presenting looks
awesome.

They all have a habit of overusing "basicly" and "actually".

my roomate showed me these vids the other day, and it looks
like one of the coolest, most advanced and original games
ever conceived.. can't wait to play it.

about the "um" thing... A lot of that was to kill time while
the game was loading and/or taking a minute to do what he
wanted it to do... to fill the silence.

Artificial evolution.

that's boring as finishing super mario world using the blue
yoshi

world.

hah, me and me friend were talking about video games with
cheats. saying how as a kid he'd always play doom with god
mode and all keys, just going through the levels not even
putting in any effort.
ANYWAy, this game looks awesome, dunno how long it'll be
before i'll have a chance to play it properly though (this
computer certainly isnt doing the honours)

Doesn't look very challenging. Is there any environment
pressure at all?

offline OK on 2007-05-25 12:32 [#02087582]

first is pacman if a ghost gets you you die.

then it's like a 3d platformer i think. if a goompa gets you
you die.

then it's sim city. then it's sim city 2000. and abit of age
of empires too.

offline OK on 2007-05-25 12:34 [#02087583]

now that i think about it the game could become like an
engine for making rts games. like you make your own races.

Can't wait to play it but I'm always wary of games that
incorporate so many disparate gameplay elements, and
''mini-games''. They're always relatively sloppy and
rough... understandably. In those situations, the different
elements make me think of more specialized games that do
them a lot better, and I become a Picky Ricky.
