a bit disjointed. not really feeling the drum sounds. or

Have to agree with Dannn_, I like the last 1:30 allot more
then the rest though, seems like the drum sounds and that
"bwei" sound just works allot better in that tempo.

a bit too long and it seems like you didn't have enough glue
to make the parts stick together so they're falling apart...

and yeah, i agree. the sections are disjointed.

what irked me more were the drum sounds. i know from your
posts, elusive, that you like DUMMMMMM PSCHHHWWWSSST sounds
but this stuff seriously made me wonder whether you were
still yearning for the years you spent banging on pots and
pans in the kitchen.

because that's what it sounded like to me.

pots and pans being banged.

yeah its supposed to be real loud / pots&pans'y , i think
its hard and nasty ghetto sort of like that, but yeah dont
be 'sorry' for not liking it , im just looking for the
perfect beat

ok, way too many ideas in there. keep it simple. the drum
distortion around 1:15 sounds quite decent. Stop making
stupid juddering sounds in the beat. beat should be BOOM
CHA.....BOOM CHA predominantly, your track is not really
dnb!

you need a "sick" synth or something, not as many VSTs, er
yeah. listen to some older dnb stuff. keep it more simple
and make it more dirty. dont mess with the tempo. use 164
bpm or 156bpm only that is an order. do not use an amen
unless you can cut it in a way i like.
listen to http://www.discogs.com/release/31422 esp
crystal then listen to Guncheck by Ed Rush and Nico, then
http://www.discogs.com/release/1757 after than i would
really like to hear a track new track with some ideas more
like what I've said.

I guess you use a lot of vst/laptop. sounds like it anyway.
I call that sound "plasticy" sound, I think that will not
help the song, try to use samples more and not worry about
making them sonically excellent. I scrunge synths through a
4 track, reverb and distortion, etc all subtle amounts and
it makes it sound more real, less plastic. dont use
softsynth, and if you do, record synth line solo'd and edit
in wave editor and just use rough effects like bit of
compression/distorion/etc very subtly just to make it sound
less plastic, preferbly record back from speakers with mic
and use that/mix that in to make it less plastic.

I hope that all makes some kind of sense. I've got high
hopes for second dnb track :D

sounds like a medley of seven tracks. The distortion is
reeeeeally annoying. I'm annoyed with you for not making
this track sound good. When i heard the first 20 seconds i
was thinking 'all these other comments are wrong, this track
is good" then the truth was realised. For shame. The mixing
isn't good either. Make an extended remix of the first 20
seconds. And finally, how the hell is this drum and bass?

hey thanks alot man :)

i real hate the amen break. well i should instead say that i
just prefer to do 100% of drum writing myself with the
sounds ive got, so i feel ive got no control if i used amen
break or any other. you know what im saying.

your correct though its just on a laptop using 4 software
sequencers. vst's is just one for EQ and then another for
that saturation on the drums. my laptops shit dude, the
processor shits @ 80% usage just from 2 sequencers, so i
gotta get more stuff. that 'synth' is sampled from some ed
rush thing that was on the radio, just cliped it love. good
advice thou man thanks

Where is the sub in your tune?
I only hear a big crunchy distorted kick

Amen break is the bestest

way too loud. i hear what you are trying to do. keep going
for it. don't ever let anyone tell you how to make your
music, but take what you can from their commentary.
