you have to have a paypal acount. since you do not know how
to work it, i'm assuming you don't have one.

you have to create an account (also you need a bank
account). when you create an account paypal asks for your
account number and the routing number of the bank. it will
explain it and show where they are on your check/savings
slip. once you set up the account, paypal deposits one or
two small amounts into your account. this usually takes
several days and once they are in your account you have to
verify the amounts so your account will become active. once
you have the active account, you will have to transfer money
from your bank account and wait for it (3-4 business days)
once you've done all that you will be able to send money
with paypal. it's a free service but it takes a bit of time
to set up.

also, i believe there is a way to set up a paypal account
using a debit or credit card, but it probably takes several
days w/ verification as well

i'd recommend waiting til it's somewhere else if that is a
big pain and use a debit card or something

well he should be able to buy without an existing account,
just start the checkout process, and on the login screen
click the "click here"
where it says

"If you do not currently have a PayPal account, click here"

then enter credit card infos

hahah oh well :)

i set up an account a while back and i don't believe that
option was present at the time. well, back to my cave...
