Hi there xltronic board.

I don't know if any of you went to / remember our tube
station parties. From 2001-2004 we were lucky enough to play
host to all the Skam crew (several times!), Richard D James,
Luke Vibert, Plaid, Mira Calix, T. Raumshmiere, Mark Moore,
Tim Wright, Goldfrapp, Richard X, Ceephax, the Rephlex
Records crew, and many more.

Well, after the last one was cancelled at the last minute,
we lost so much money that the label pretty much went under,
and we havent done anything since.

Until now.

We have found a new venue. It's in London, there are
several rooms. And a cinema. It's absolutely gorgeous. And
we're going to have a party there on Friday March 31st.

Berlin's latest prodigies Modeselektor are to be
joined by techno/electro legends B12 and Neil
Landstrumm
, with support from Ardisson,
Snapmouth, and MoQ from the Seed Records camp.
Bleep.com are hosting the second room with their new
'Automaton Disco' system, allowing clubbers to choose from
the entire bleep.com catalogue what the robot dj's play
next, plus cut-up genius crew The Media Lounge (who
hosted the in-house TV station at Dedbeat festiva)l take
care of the all-seater cinema room.

Doors are 10pm-6am, entry is by advance ticket only
tickets are just £10 each (+ booking fee) and available now
from Poke Records in Soho, Smallfish in Shoreditch, and
online at ticketweb

to find out where the venue is, check the
soviet website on March 31st, or send an email to
sovietlondon@googlemail.com with the subject 'add' (we wont
spam you - just one email with the location)

I can tell you this about the venue:

Its 100% legal. no chance of being shut down.

It's not one of the 'same-old fuckin venues'...ie its NOT
333, Jacks, Elektrowerkz, Rhythm Factory, Corsica Studios,
Telegraph, or any of the other venues that has a party every
other week.

Its massive, over 3 levels, several rooms, and a full-seater
cinema balcony, which will be showing some awesome films,
cut-ups, comedy, and general wierdness.

It is no more than 2 minutes walk from a Zone 1 tube
station, nightbuses, and cash machines, plus cafes for
grabbing a coffee & a bacon butty in the morning before
grabbing the first train home...no trundling through
countless unknown suburbs in the middle of nowhere looking
for a garage to buy a soggy sandwich and a bottle of
lucozade...

the beers will be reasonable priced. ie not £3 a bottle of
carlsberg, like some other venues.

The venues staff are also fans of electronic music. you'll
be in good hands.

If you ever went to one of our tube station parties, you'll
know the vibe we go for :-)

on another note: if you see any B12 'represses' about -
please be aware these are illegal bootlegs made without
B12's premission - the tracks are ripped from CD/vinyl not
masters. please do not buy them

B12 will be making their back catalog available *legally*
very soon.

just a wee bump.

if youre thiking of coming, grab your tickets earlier rather
than later, they have already begun to sell, and as theres a
limited number and there will NOT be any available on the
door, ...i know it sounds arsey, but: buy early to avoid
disappointment.

at one of the tube station parties, when the security didnt
turn up on time, myself and a friend worked the door in
their place. we had black suits on, both of us quite tall,
so no-one knew we were actually the promoters and
performers. it was funny to be a fly on the wall, listening
to people talking about us, and some outrageous guestlist
claims....but it wasnt fun to have to turn people away once
we reached capacity, some folks we're obviously really
excited about coming but hadnt bought their tickets in
advance.

bleep.com are running the second room, as well as the
bleep.com dj's & guests, they will be running a jukebox that
plays only tracks from the bleep.com catalogue. last i
heard, the idea was people would be able to select the
upcoming tracks (not sure how though, possibly have a screen
projected with tracks that can be activated by text message)

TICKETS UPDATE

there are still plenty of tickets left, but going by the
current sales - i wouldnt be suprised if they sell out
within the next 10 days.

we have dropped a booklet of 50 tickets for sale in phonica,
as so many people were asking us if they had them for sale
there.

we will *try* and have someone at the venue with a small
book of tickets for sale AT FACE VALUE early on the night
itself (before doors open) for those that have been
completely unable to get any in advance, so they dont get
ripped off by touts.

I can now confirm we will be annoucing the venue publicly in
the week leading up to the event. We did our final site
check, the visuals guys sorted their setups in the
projection room, and we sorted our stages & specs...all
looking very good, getting quite excited now....!
