Hmmmm, its always tough. Some people only call it music if it has vocals in it. I suppose music is down to the person themselves. I class music as rhythmical noise, but then again, i love really ambient stuff, and i'll call it music. I'd like to rephrase my meaning of music. Sound made by humans. |

when construction and deconstruction cancel each other out - when the tension is at its greatest level, but has no land marks (ie no sound) to reference the resultant tension. to me any sound can be called music, it depends how one listens to it ??? be it traffic, a washing machine or leaves brushing against each other in the wind. but then this leaves the whole meaning of music a little redundant. I guess it has to be processed in a certain way ... ie recorded or played (as an instrument) or something ?? i don't know .. Otherwise I'll just opt for the "verse chorus verse" option :) |

mmm.. yeah .. i guess - the intention of the sound is quite a good definition type thing. Like .. someone aimlessly mopping a floor wouldn't intentionally do it to make music [yet it still makes a sound], but as soon as he like does it in rhythm - with the intention of making that sound, it could be considered music? |
