what do you think about this label? stuff like Frennesz,
Pita, Alan Vega, Mika Vainio and Ilpo Väisänen,
Showroomdummies, Jim O'Rourke, Tujiko Noriko... and what
about Tina Frank covers and artwork?

hecker is one of my favorite artists. pita is great as well.
i prefer fennesz's later output which is available on touch
records, but i like endless summer (and it's ultra ugly
cover)

the DACM/pita showroomdummies release is interesting as
well, but i can't quite picture it in a ballet. the cover of
this release is frightening.

both fenno'bergs are great as well.

i'd say this is one of my favorite labels

oh and there wasn't recent news on warp's site that mego was
closing down and re-opening under the name mego editions.
there has been no news directly from mego's site, but the
url www.editionsmego.com seems to be up with a picture and a tiny
bit of info about the next release

wasn't = was

just a minor mistake in my typing that wouldn't change the
outcome of what i wrote at all

Yeah, they are art wankers (except O'Rourke, whose
rock-n-roll side is beyond great), but they are one of the
best places to go when you get tired of beats and riffs.
This art this is often kind of fun.

i find early fennesz hard going but his later stuff is
lovelyness.. i can sleep to endless summer and venice.

saw pita in london at the ATP easy to swallow night at koko
in september.. was anxiously waiting for earth, robert hood
and ae... pita just hurt me with what sounded like pure
noise, maybe my ears haven't been sufficiently trained to
withstand such harshness, or maybe i wasn't paying enough
attention.. i dunno.

venice is magic ambient, organic. Isaw pita with tina frank
visuals at Sonar 03, it was like being in hell. i have never
felt such sound power

I love "endless summer" and "hotel paral.lel" by fennesz,
and also "the return of fenn'o berg"

i thought that pita set was wicked but i haven't got into
any of the stuff he has released. i love endless summer and
the jim o'rourke one, that's my favourite. the anthony
pateras album should be interesting

and what about Tujiko Noriko? i think i love her, i saw her
live once also at sonar, and she is like a folk singer but
with a macintosh instead of an acoustic guitar.

Mego are great. Pita, Hecker, Farmers Manual, Russell
Haswell, Fennesz, Jim O'Rourke, Sluta Leta and COH are all
lovely and excellent.

Don't listen to this Mego-related track then.
It'll finish you off.

did you make that track?

were you attempting to mock the label?

have you ever heard anything from the label?
