New Prefuse73 Mini Album

Called security screenings out 6th feb.

Prefuse states:

“It’s a collection of songs based on reactions to
certain things that happened through the course of doing
press, touring, and recording for the past year or so. It's
not a follow up to Surrounded By Silence, but merely a
transition between the last album and what's to come, the
next one is to be completely different all together.”

“God bless airport security in America and the countries
that are a part of the "Coalition of the Willing."

What?

"Coalition of the Willing" is a phrase which has been used
by the administration of US President George W. Bush to
refer to the nations whose governments militarilly supported
the United States position in the Iraq disarmament crisis
and later the 2003 invasion of Iraq and subsequent
peacekeeping duties (see Post-invasion Iraq, 2003–2005).
The original list in March 2003 included 48 members as
written here LAZY_TITLE

Do you think I don't know this?

I'm wondering whether his comment is sarcastic or not -
whether he is criticising the coalition of the willing and
heightened security at airports, or commending them.

Sarcastic is my guess. Someone told me that as an European,
you can expect to wait for a whole day in the airport
security arriving USA before you can move on

Well, he did move out of the united states. I heard it was
because of how the us was becomming less freedom, more
fascist. I am thinking its sarcastic as well.

well, I didn't know this to be honest.
I first thought he was serious, then I thought...well he
could be being sarcastic

I thought it was because hia dad is originally from
Barcelona so he went there.

Well, that might have been why he choose barcelona, but I
remember reading an interview where he was dissing the
atmosphere that had recently arrisen in the US.

“God bless airport security in America and the countries

the other clues to its sarcastic nature are in the albums
title and the text right above that quote...

"Inspired by the disillusioning experiences
encountered whilst promoting Surrounded by Silence
,
Security Screenings continues the evolution of Herren’s
Prefuse alias into one of the most versatile and visionary
post-hip-hop producers in the world.

"Coalition of the Willing."

I ordered it yesterday.

Seeing as pretty much everything prefuse has released is at
WORST interesting I think this will be excellent... but I
thought that about BOC.

Prefuse is fast becoming the only warp artist I listen
too... strange to think.

What about this? Didn't know...

"There will be a limited vinyl pressing of Everything
Ecstatic Part 2 released around February 13th. It comes in a
beautiful gatefold sleeve featuring photography by Jason
Evans. Everything Ecstatic Part 2 has also been released on
CD alongside a DVD of videos which came out last year. All
these releases are available from the Domino records
website"

Outtakes was nice and so were a few tracks on Surrounded.
But yeah, Vocal Studies is probably my favorite.
