I recently downloaded a track called Drum 'n' Bass 2000 by
Squarepusher and want to add it to my mp3 player but can't
find it on any of his albums - has it been labelled
incorrectly?

any ideas?

it is definately squarepusher - some other guy sent it to me
from a completely different source - non-p2p. he said
something about it being on some japan-only thing called
"dragon disk 2"

offline kelp7 from kelphq (United Kingdom) on 2005-12-27 03:14 [#01807073]

well dragon disc 2 is certainly not a japan only release, i
have that 12" and there's only two sqrpshr tracks on there,
and neither of them are called anything "world"...

it has no lyrics on it, runs for 7 minutes and 11 seconds
and is quite mellow drum and bass. It begins with a sort of
chime sound that appears frequenty throughout the track.

it probably is Cooper's World

"lost in space drum n bass" seems quite stupid and
infantile...pretty in tune with the genre as a whole as i
see it

just downloaded it out of curiousity. im fairly certain its
not squarepusher, certainly not coopers world

certainly sounds it. Should I put it up as an mp3 through
Rapidshare.com so you can hear it to make sure we're all
talking about the same song here?

offline Dannn_ from United Kingdom on 2005-12-27 08:30 [#01807165]

its not him. it doesnt sound right at all. its unlikely to
be an old track as they are all dirty breaks sounding like
dragon disk and burningn ntree, and I think his post rephlex
stuff is very well known and I've probably got most all of
it

I forgot about Spring Heel Jack. I had Oceanola (or
something) and a Million Colours (or something). Once, I was
in this bar, getting wrecked (probably) and this music was
playing that I thought sounded like, you guessed it, Spring
Heel Jack. Later, when I went for a piss downstairs, there
they were playing, or DJing, or mixing, or whatever. I
wanted to say "Hi, I know who you are, I even have some of
your records", as no one was taking any notice. But I
didn't, I just went for a wee.
