Recommend me some PSP games

I got some cash for Christmas and was thinking of picking
up a PSP this week. I was particularly interested in Armored
Core: Formula Front. Anyone have this or could recommend
something else worth picking up? Obviously replay value is
important with the portable.

Hope everyone is having a good one.

armored core formula front is not what you think it is, it
is not an action game. you set configurations for your mech
and then watch its' "AI" fight enemy "AI". it sucks.

psp has emulation though, which a lot o fpeople say suffices
for its lack of games... i dunno. i like my DS

This sound interesting?

I think so.

There are actually quite a few sequencers and musicmaking
things comming out for the psp. Almost makes it worthwhile
to pick up ;)

yeah I totally see where you're coming from, I think I was
more impressed by the interface and graphics than the
gameplay. It was my first experience of a touch-screen
gameboy (I never used the SP) and I was pretty blown away

hmm yeah.
ive only played mario64ds and the touch screen was
moderately meh-ish.

Got a PSP for christmas and the best game to get is Wipeout
Pure!
Read a review of metal gear acid first because it is
probably not what you think.
try and have a go on GTA first because apparently it is
quite superficial and has no real plot or hidden bits.

I first played ridge racer on a PSP at the V festival as
part of a promo thing and that was extremely good too.

So inconcusion: WIPEOUT PURE! Also has decent sound track,
inc. AFX and LFO and tons of downloads on yourpsp.com like
extra music and race tracks, ships etc :D

Thats a drum machine modeled after the elektron machine
drum. More than just a drum sequencer, if I am not mistaken.
It has a lot of the same features.

Yeah, Wipeout Pure most likely will be my next purchase.
That or Lumines. For some reason though, I just want to buy
massive amounts of anime for the PSP.

I bought AC:FF out of obligation to my robot brethren.
Little on the action, high on the visuals. I also got the
Akira anime, which looks amazing on that screen.

On another note, the fucking battery // lid was a bitch to
get in. Be careful.

well i guess I'm more dextrous than you because I had no
problem with covers and things. Attaching the eye piece on
my radio controlled dalek.... now that was fiddly!

Annoying thing is when you register at yourpsp.com (do it
you get a goody bag with UMD holder (i think - haven't got
it yet)) you have to take out the battery to read the S/N.
Wipeout has downloads on yourpsp.com for music, tracks, etc
and I beleive as the PSP becomes less new, more and more
games will have downloadable new content.

Did you get the 1Gig memory stick? If not then get one ASAP.
32mb is pants. I've got a ton of mp3s on it now as well as
some vids and of course games.

I need to finda wifi hotspot somewhere to check out the
internet browser too. get the V2.6 software from yourpsp.com
and it has an RSS reader and other things too.
I probably sound like an advert for sony, but the psp is by
far the best portable games machine ever. only minor
problems are can't listen to mp3s and look at photos at the
same time (hopefully new software will fix this) and the IR
port has no software for it yet, I want to be able to
control TVs vidoes, etc from PSP :)
