Anyone use Battery 2?

So I think I am going to sit down and try using this now.
Just curious if anyone has any tips, tuts, or suggestions
for using this in a step sequencer like Logic, etc.

At this point, I'm not so concerned about making a certain
style (though that info would still be appreciated) as much
as I am interested in getting this thing running, etc...

Loading samples into the bank seems evident. I guess
triggering these samples through the keyboard or the piano
roll seems evident too, though the more "advanced"
information is what I am looking for. To be more specific,
when and why to use the Edit Pane - Proper use and
strategies for cell settings, velocity mapping, modulation,
filters, and compressors, seems important too.

Though I said I'm not going after a certain sound yet, I
would indeed be curious about how someone like Richard
Devine might go about using Battery. Perhaps he is
triggering through Max? I dunno. I do have to say the
Absynth Tutorial DVD was quite helpful for little tricks.
Something like that for Battery 2 would be nice.

Thanks in advance!

So this is the new version of the drum sampler then?

I have FXpansion DR-008, which is the equivalent of Battery
1, and feel that it is the heftiest of the VSTs I use, CPU
wise. I am really discouraged by stuff that takes up half of
my computer. I can't imagine using something that expands
upon these functions further. How is the CPU load so far?

i havent really used it. just messed around a few times.

i'd imagine Richard Devine is just loading up some hot drum
samples he made (in god knows what), and is just using it as
a normal drum machine with his awesome sounds.

I dont get the feeling that his rhythms are trigger by max
or the like... but I could be wrong.

if youre using logic... have you messed with ultrabeat? Its
great

Yeah, its between that or Battery. Since I have it, I
figured I would give it a whirl. So how is everyone else
rocking their beats if they're not using Battery or
FXpansion?

routing groups of sounds to different channels for
compression is nice
the builtin effects are a tad weak, aside from the envelopes
