depends..sometimes i use it a lot and sometimes i can go
without it for days. i'd say i talk more. i think this is
more something to do with how old you are though..it's a
youngsters thing i think.

if you're just talking about on the phone, it's about 50-50.

Yeah, it's huge over here. People write really long ones
too. I keep things short like:

Pub?

Y

ok

!

I do text more than talk actually. But that is because i
don't like to use my credit talking to people that i see to
talk to most of the time anyway.

i get free texts but would rather talk these days - it so
much easier, quicker and allows one to be sarcastic.

It depends on the message. If it something short and
non-urgent I usually send an SMS instead of calling someone.

is that because no-one ever understands what you're
writing?

imagine elusivespeak in shortened sms mode... "G R BS2 TK
DDDDDDDEEEEEEEETTTTTTTTTTTRRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOIIIIIIIIIIIII
ZNT BND LOL ITTTTTTTTTTTTTT f32"

texts are very useful - i think, however, that in european
countries you guys have fewer talks minutes and more text
allowance, hence the heavier usage

i would say im %75 talk %25 text

texting when youre drunk is HARD

last friday i had to shut one eye and stand up so i could
see my phone straight !

if it's a question of what came first, I think the heavier
usage came before the lowered prices...

No I think it's here to stay, in one form or another. It's
useful if you don't want everybody on the bus to hear your
conversation, or if you have to tell someone something, but
you don't want to actually talk to them.

i text an awful lot because you're provided 250 free texts
per month by o2, from the web. so it's handy.

you can even schedule them, so you can set em up to text you
as reminders. deadly.

i feel like its less invasive

Yea, man has gone a long time without, and still made some
pretty good innovations (like mobile phones). I remember
when all texts were free! They were seen as something that
people would only use in emergencies I believe!

I think I've sent maybe 2 text messages in my entire life.
I can't stand trying to type on a mobile phone.

months now... i love it

offline OK on 2005-12-08 13:05 [#01796347]

yeah, but there's always stupid people who use like a
message pero word, or answer your questions with more
questions like:

me: hey where are you guys?
other person: i'm with the guys, get over here
me: where?
other person: at a party
me: FEIUFDHI DF FIU AHIS LFI!"$&·$&"·&""
other person: are you gonna come?
me: FUCK YOU

so by this point it would have been cheaper to just call the
bastard.
