next year you'll do a Norway rave, right?

I'd prefer a few concerts. If you ever see me at a rave,
it's not me.

how about a contest for one lucky person not in the UK to
get a free plane ride to see the rave

some of our (seed records) crew played at the NuMusic

very expensive beer.

hahah, yeah...

however, even if there was a thing where Aphex Twin, Kim
Hiorthøy, A Tribe Called Quest, Nas, Wu-Tang and Common
were playing and it was advertised as a "Rave," I wouldn't
be there.

'presents for ravers'

so, if you're coming along, and you spot santa (red coat,
white beard, drunk) or myself (probably dressed in a black
suit & hat) remember to rave hard or smile brightly....

we have over 200 cd's 12"s and DVD's to give away
courtesy of ourselves at seed and those lovely
chaps at warp :-D

haha, yeah, no shit, seconded here

you have no idea how lucky you guys are, fucking _nobody_
comes to australia

although, i did see richard devine last week in melbourne,
that was pretty fucking rad. great night. rare
opportunity, though, and it was 1000km from where I live :-)

I grew up in australia, my mum still lives there (byron
bay)

if it wasnt for music/work here, i would move back. i do
miss the sunshine, beaches and wide open spaces. dont miss
the spiders though.

how much is a return ticket to oz anyways? £600?

i guess with those kind of flight costs, youre not going to
get many of the lesser known niche artists playing.
especially as all reports i get from oz is that most people
are still stuck in the 80's music-taste wise. (*most* not
all!)

its at jokes because furthur/the poke are running the night
(thats their residency)

for me, jacks is like elektrowerkz, good for a dirty old
rave, but you get bored after going there over and over
again. but the management at both venues are open-minded
about music and have a good attitude about the kind of
clientel they want and drinks pricing.

there is a new venue which is hopefully going to be opening
in early 2006 in the whitechapel area. i cant say any more
yet except that we (seed recs) are going to start doing
regluar bashes with the kind of line-ups we did at the tube
station parties, once the place opens.

as for tickets at the poke they are still available
although they wont be for much longer on ticketweb. you
could pop into poke records on denham street in soho to get
them in advance, i'm sure there will be *some* available on
the night but maybe best to try and arrive before 11pm to
make sure...

theres a few tickets left at poke records on denman street
(see above) and theres some on the door too, but i'd
recommend getting there earlier rather than later to get
those - just in case!!

got my ticket at poke records. now i can rest easy, and go a
little later. also bought this cd mix made by the guy who
did the warpvision dvd mix. it's a mix of electro songs with
crazy hip hop profanities being shouted over them. it's
rather shit.

Well,well..lets c what the people think about the party of
yest..
I've been there with my japanesse mates very early for make
sure that we get in..the first thing that we saw was that
b12 (warp-live) and Team Shadetek (warp) they wasnt in the
line up..disappointment (dmx crew apeare instead),then we
were waiting kind of bored until milanese start..was at
12:45pm..45 minuts late,in my opinion..the best set of the
nite..after him was chris clark,i were sorprise that they
(milanese and chris)were playing in the small room instead
of the big one(main room)..but in fact was a good idea coz
for people like me that we already been there many times,we
always know that the small room is the empty and kind of
depresive one but yest was diferent..so that was a good
point.Chris sound good, very good..even if he was dealing
with a very low light conditions and absolutly NO
technitians or stuff give him a torch, lamp or whatever..so
the people that was dancing and watching in front of him
they were with their mobiles phones light and lighters
helping him..very "romantic" we love music and our heros..
then we moved to the main room were plaid djs were
playing..so bizzarreee..why "plaid" are so diferent djing if
u compare with their albums? Andy and Ed are NOT the same
guys that make me felt in love with their music and label
(warp) 10 years ago...they play (as djs) all kinds of music
now from tech-house-shity boggie electro to old skool
drum'n'bass..(In the last 3years i always had the same
deception when they or one of them was playing as dj) i had
the impresion to be with goldie or grooverider..so coz i was
a lover of these beats in my old times..i forget that was
plaid,i closed my eyes and i danced as a crazy..when they
finished..no claps, nothing they were talking with their
friends like.."here we are..playing some music and having
some beers what about you?" very sad..about the place..nice
deco-specially the 2big red lamps but i prefer Vj's in a
screen like others poke's parties b4 instead of all these
robo laser

milanese definitly played the best set, playing really
excellent fast jungly electro noises, while teasing the
crowd with some crazy drill, breaking it down, and bringing
it back all slow and glitch like. plaid played some lovely
drum 'n bass, i recognised the one song from this DOA mix
that sido dyas posted on here a while ago. dmx crew was a
bit a cheap, playing the come on my selector/cock ver 10 mix
straight from the warpvision album. where's the fun in
playing someone else's mix? he also played a caustic window
hip hop remix thingy from that mix album i mentioned earlier
in this thread. overall, nothing spectacular but a good
night.

i took a load of video footage of milanese, and hopefully
we'll get that online soon (i'll post up a link when it
does)

i had a really good time but can i say an extra-special "ha
ha fuck you" to everyone that RAN out of the room when chris
clark finished to watch plaid play....i was on directly
afterwards and gave out a pile of free warp/seed/lex cd's &
dvd's to those who werent so fickle as to only want to see
the headliners and having no interest in catching anything
they havent heard of before. your loss! :-P

Hehe..the place wasnt too big,and plaid was as i said "a bit
of everything" so obiously we were "jumping" from one room
to da anotherone..was u the one with the hat?
i got somes pics..
:P
