Yeah, I ordered two from Staalplaat. One as a birthday gift
for a friend and one for myself.

I thought at first that you could mix together the 9
different drones and was about to order one, but I found out
that you can only play one at a time and switch between
them, which seems a bit rubbish really. Hype.

isn't it funny how the description is VERY specific about
the packaging yet doesn't waste any words on the actual
music?

That is pretty funny.

Phew, making that HTML tag was hard work. I am utterly worn
out. Me must sleep now.

I have one of these and it's pretty nifty albeit cheaply
constructed. My friend here laughed however and said it's
some 25cent piece of junk that they have all over Taiwan.
It's a buddhist thing apparently. Anyhow, the novelty wears
off pretty quickly - like OK, now that you've spent 3
minutes playing with this what do you do with it? And why
does every press release and article insist on mentioning
Alan Bishop and Brian Eno? I'm shocked this has been making
the rounds for so long. Can you imagine BoingBoing doing
some big Pez announcement and then having it end up on
Engadget like the next big thing?

where can i get one of the 25 cent taiwan ones?

one day i have to open it and see whats that chip inside.

the idea of havine few of them is really good, you could
make some really enjoyable music....but it frustrates me
that sounds are not mine.

still,satisfaction.

You look a bit like one of the blokes I run parties
with...every bunch of DJ 's needs a token beardy guy...and
the techno wisdom they bring with it
