I don't know what you mean. I never listened to much Joy
Division, although I owned some New Order in my time.

I've been a member for a while actually. I used to post on
here more often, but lately don't have time to participate
in the "chat" aspect of the messageboard. Mostly just using
this electronic music messageboard to post messages related
to electronic music, in this case stuff on our site.

I will come in here from time to time to get updates on
music coming out, read reviews of new releases, and
sometimes post my own thoughts, but I simply can't be a
messageboard junkie at this time in my life.

I am not sure when the idea came along that a messageboard
is a chatroom. A chatroom is a chatroom, like on irc. It
is fine if people use a messageboard in that way, but it
should also be functional as a bulletin board, to post news
etc. and then walk away to do something else. If Autechre
came in here to post a free single or something but couldn't
stick around to go into a 1000 post discussion on who their
favorite Spice Girl was or why they feel the new Charlie and
the Chocolate Factory is better or worse than the original
Willie Wonka, no one would care. I don't see why it can't
be that way for other musicians as well. I am posting a
link to what I feel is excellent electronic music on a
bulletin board about electronic music.

That's great, and I am being part of the community by making
the music and then sharing it with all of you. Most of the
stuff on our site is free.

If you want to advertise your material withut taking part in
the more day to day xltronic stuff maybe you could pay for
an advertising banner on the main page...$1 a day.

Your material is far inferior to Steedie's and he wasn't
allowed to just spam dispite being one of the greatest
electronic artists of all time.

I listened. It's a bit generic. There are some good bits
and it is well produced but nothing really distinctive.

Look, your moderators and webmaster have the power to do
whatever they want. It doesn't have to be right, but they
have the power to do it. I gave my perspective, and I feel
it is right or else I wouldn't have it. However they can
ban me from posting if that is what they feel they need to
do, although I would hope they would afford me the fairness
of taking a vote from everyone to see if they all felt the
way you folks do, but I realize they don't have to.

As for you, I don't feel your opinion of the quality of my
material or the other artists on my site should weigh in on
it. I think it is good and others do too. I am posting to
the entire community here, not just the mods and clique
runners.

Madonna or the Spice girls.

I like the atheism board over at Carm for that now. There's guys on
there that really bust my noodle.

i find that incredibly unlikely that they would be able to
come close to busting your noodle. they probably pull you
into one of those o'reilly-style trick dialogues where
you're too caught up thinking about what the word "the"
really means to focus on anything important.

There are guys there who are PhD candidates in philosophy
and who can reduce an argument to that formal propositional
stuff with the Ps and Qs. There are biologists and a
Viennese physicist who busts my noodle regularly with
cosmological theories like Tegmark's infinite sea and the
ekpyrotic universe. Thank God that guy's an atheist or I'd
soil my pantaloons.

There are also guys who've read some Christian apologetics
like Van Til and yeah, they will debate you over the meaning
of the word the, as well as redefining "rationality" to mean
that it is rooted in God-belief.

maxi-singles.

is an mp3-single 2 to 4 mp3s in a zip? is a maxi-single then
6 mp3s.. in a zip?

I don't know whether I should play this maxi-single at 33 or
45.

Are there also mp3 Edison cylinders?

I was going to congratulate glasse on going for the "Maxi
Single" format as opposed to the now thoroughly devalued
"EP".

Sorry, I was going to say that I am downloading it to listen
to, after I've finished work on the frankly astonishing new
Grinning Ape mp3 cassingle.

4, repeated on both sides. So you have to download it twice,
I'm afraid.

If you want the artwork, yes.

oh, you're doing it like that, yes, I see...

I'd have figured the artwork would only be available for a
small fee in a separate 2x1,2 gb zip files as the standards
go...

I remember sending you my address in the summer. if there
was a summer this year. now I'm not sure. was there a summer
this year or did we just skip it? I know I wouldn't have
minded if we had. sooo.. how's things in Chile?

I have a CD based cassingle of new "not shit", EXCLUSIVE
stuff that I am sending out as part of the The Devil's own
farmyard utility building Christmas Special collective ...
effort. But I am glad you remembered.

On topic: Teredo sounds good, probably too good, and as such
I couldn't sit through it all, but, you know, well tasty.
