Right

I get internets at home

I get on slsk, nothing works apart from chatting

i forward the ports on my modem, and on my router. Now the
soulseek site says "yes you've forwarded the ports,
everything should work fine".

Now i can browse users' files.

I cannot, however download their files.

What should I do?

Try changing to: 80, 8080, 1080, 20 or 21 and see if that
works if not then try http tunneling maybe your ISP is
blocking .

I remember there's also incompatible software like
netlimiter.

I've tried those ports, and no joy.. Where can I look for
info on http tunnelling? Have you any experience with it -
what software is best to use for example?

my router changed my ip adress, so it was configured wrong,
but it meant that slsk said the port wasnt op though

maybe you should run a firewall? with that you can
monitor what goes in and out, and there is the possibility
that the ports are open, but they are being used by some
spyware-ish program since they are open.. if you have a
firewall, you can restrict the usage of ports to certain
programs... I'm running slsk with a firewall and it works
perfectly...

You can find them simply by clicking on "web" (when you have
slsk opened)
