how can that still be fun, and how is it that you still don't notice the horrible side effects (which are quite common i believe)? and whats DHM? I'm interested in doing DXM again, but i'm in no mood to to asking around for pure powder so i will go with the syrup. That one time when i drank one bottle, the effects were interesting, but by no means entirely pleasant. Drawings i made looked awful (more so than usual). |

i tried it once... didn't take quite enough to get into the lower echelons of hallucination, but it was pretty okay. definitely nice for listenin to certain music... i'd like to try it again sometime but it's the sort of thing that would really do a number on yr stomach if you did it often enough. |

yeah, basically. but there's not very many commercially available cough syrups that have DXM as the only medical ingredient. most have Guanine or some other stuff like that. |

yeah, there's an interesting very thorough FAQ about it somewhere on the net... the guy delineates five different stages of "highness" basically, depending on the quantity that you take... but definitely if you take enough you will hallucinate. it's not hard to tell which one's are safe and which ones aren't cuz they have to list all the medical ingredients on the package, but maybe not everyone enjoy drinking cough syrup... (personally i don't mind the taste, and it's definitely a lot less unpleasant than eating pot or mushrooms...) |

Yeh, the particlar version of Robitussin with only DXM is "Robitussin DX". The other varieties (like Robitussin DM) have other things added. |

as a previously intense dxm experiementer (i consumed 15g of the stuff in under 3 months, i was tripping about 2-3 times a week) i can say its a silly drug. more about being fucked up than having a good time. its an easy drug to take, meaning not as much mental rediculous possibly self hating as on shrooms and the such. its generally hard to have a "bad" trip. it effects many different poeple differently. while i never truly felt out of body (after taking up to 1.2 g) friends have claimed theyre sitting at a desk at home while really miles away on the deck at my house. it causes serious mental difficiencies. ive had very noticable problems with word retrieval since my stint with dxm, as an example. best not done regularly, because it flat out gets boring. hah im drunk and that was fun to type, remembering shit that went down 2+ years ago. |
