okay, sorry if this has been raised before here but amid
all the jabberings about Boards of Canada I stumbled upon
Hold Your Colour, Pendulum's debut album, last night
at a house party.

I have to say I have not been so excited about finding out
more about this artist since I first heard some Venetian
Snares! The beats just seemd to be sublime and I remember
putting Tarantula (an amazing piece of
electro-raggae) on loop for the much of the evening.

I loved this music! What are people's opinions on them/their
album?

yeah fair point -unfortunately I was a bit pissed on tequila
so I can't remember much except how dancable the music
seemed to be. There was some squarepusher playing before
that which I'd brought but that didn't do much for many
people. On the other hand people who didn't necessarily like
dancing much or electronic music all got up to enjoy
themselves when Pendulum was put on.

ratage in my book :)

what is it about them you dislike? For the type of music
they are trying to produce I found them really great.

isnieZot: Thanks I'll check that out.

I find them a disgrace to DNB and serious producers, their
music is stupid.

Might just be me though.

(hates commercial clownstep)

The pendulum of public opinion in this instance
appears to swing between terrible and not good.

to a new motion picture with vin dielsel and steven segal.

that's right, they remixed Voodoo People.

..but then again, Audio Bullys had a remix of Prodigy's Out
Of Space on the same Single...

just heard it now. Interesting. Like you say it has a great
bassline but it lacks the killer vocal hook that some of
their other tracks have (for example, 'Tarantula' and
'Plasticworld')

still thoroughly enjoyable though. Bulletproof's
contribution appears to be pretty good. I like it :)

thanks!
