Best label frontpage I've seen in a looooong time.

V/vm: you know it makes sense.

This is nothing to do with the legal problem of 8 months or
so back. V/vm is tired with:
-Record labels feeding off their past glories.
-The amount of work needed to update the site, meaning he
has a lot less time to do tracks as he's constantly updating
the site.
-People taking it for granted that all content, ever, is
hosted on the web indefinately and not really appreciating
it.

He said getting rid of the old site (not neccessarily
permanently- the content hasn't been deleted) for a while
would:
-Focus people on the future of the label (read the left
sidebar comments in the image)
-Give him a bit of a holiday from documenting everything all
the artists on the label are up to.

yeah, it's gotta take up a lot of your time selecting tracks
by other artists, running them through fx, recording the
results and releasing it as your own work. and even then
there's the burden of dealing with people who don't
appreciate the huge volume of content that you excrete into
the internet. it's enough to make a guy want to execute a
snarky, obvious attack on some faceless corporation.

coff; )coff

I know that post is probably tongue in cheek, but it really
saddens me that so many people perceive his total output as
the "silly remixes" he is famous for. Most people don't know
that the first EP he released sounds a lot like early
autechre and that he continues to do a fair whack of
original music.
