just caught the end of the film, it's a classical piece
(well known but not by me!) which is used at the end, just
before the credits roll. i can't find any info on a
soundtrack, perhaps someone has seen it or is better at
retrieving that kind of information?

thanks in advance, dearies.

looks like the composer himself replied. if it isn't a fake
account.

The Simon Boswell website has some info about it.

JB: One specific question I wanted to ask: why was
Photographing Fairies never released?

SB: That's a good question. I made a whole album, and I even
went and recorded extra tracks for it, because I had a deal
set up with Varese Sarabande. Then, for one reason or
another, the movie went straight to video in America, so
they pulled the plug.

JB: That shouldn't affect the CD though, should it? Varese
have released other scores of films which went straight to
video.

SB: I felt quite let down by it all, actually, not to
mention out of pocket - not just because I went in and
recorded the extra tracks, but because I had a mastered
album ready. Photographing Fairies is a score I'm quite
proud of actually. I got my inspiration for it after someone
played me some Lutoslawski, and I thought he had a fantastic
sound. Now, I don't think I can do it in quite the way he
does it, so I tried to do it in my own way, which was to get
the orchestra to play sections of very strange sounds, and
edit them together afterwards in a way that worked with the
images. It's taken me a long time to not feel like I'm
cheating when I do things like that. I don't any more - I
feel I'm just using the technology in a way he might have
done.

Second Movement of Beethoven's Seventh Symphony to be exact.

they're talking about the music in the film. apparently the
2nd movement of Beethoven's 7th Symphony is used through out
the film, but that's not the piece at the end, which is a
kind of waltz? (haven't seen the film)

anyway - the supposed composer writes:

)

All of the music in the movie is by me, except the hanging
scene which is a re-recording I made of the 2nd movement of
Beethoven 7th Symphony. The soundtrack album (although it's
been ready for years) is not available as Varese Sarabande
decided in their wisdom not to release it when the movie
went straight to video in th USA (leaving me $5,000 out of
pocket I might add!) Feel free to email them and
complain!

This is all I caught of the film - the man being hanged. It
is odd because earlier on in the evening, my girlfriend
asked me to remind her which is my favourite Beethoven
symphony, to which I replied 'the seventh' and lo, I turn
over and there is beethoven's 7th being played, and my
favourite movement!
