Some of you may enjoy the humor in this show review...

PREFUSE 73 ::
Live at I/O Lounge 09.17.05 (Miami, FL)

"...We rounded the bend and found ourselves at the head
of a block-long line, teaming with sweaty, bedraggled scene
kids; each looking the part of a walk-on role in an iPod
commercial..."

it's too bad p73 managed his own tour,
the whole reason the above article had
an entirely different slant is due to the
lack of management/organizational aid
for the tour....

They club owner said he hadn't heard of Igloo or
Pietrobot... oh, he knew them alright.

Good review though.

the initial intent was to have our writer
go to the show to review.. he was already,
apparently "set-up" to review it via warp
with a press and photo pass (confirmed several
times).. the only reason the club owner
wasn't aware of our writer's affiliation with
igloo is because scott heron did not translate
the info to the club...... ah well, these things
do happen. and this should be a note to
aspiring musicians to make sure you have
a tour manager handle all the pr for your
shows....

the owner seems very idiotic, considering the review
would've brought that small/unheard-of venue some publicity.

exactly.. interesting how the "pub"
got more of a plug than the actual
venue who hosted p73.. i'd like to
forward the review to the i/i lounge
but i can't seem to find a solid contact..
hint hint..

shouldnt the magazine re-imburse you for your tix? too bad
you missed the show, i saw him over the summer in chi-town
and it rocked my world. he didnt play drums tho, had a full
band with him while he was on samplers and such.

tickets were not purchased, our writer
was supposed to be on the guest list for
press/photo pass.. as noted in the article.
