I like the poll, but I dont seem to fit in any of the options... I think when you try to make original options you can amke the mistake of creating a poll that doesnt give the logical options its like with snares, do you like snares music: yes some of it only no more than that its just complicating the poll and the results are less clarifying but of course I always love woofer´s polls, this was just an idea |

well i have already listened to more than half of this album my expectations for the rest of it are close to what is written in the last option i didn't want to download but today I've been pleasantly surprised to find 3 tracks in mailbox so I though why not download the rest. This music seems to find people even if people don't make attempts to find it themselves |

'it isn't really good' is not a good option for this poll. poll speaks about "espectations" not about "you like it, yes or not". it speaks about expectations 'cos it's not officially released yet (17 October is the date), so in theory it should be a mistery for many of us. maybe between some month i will make another poll "do you like it, yes or not... blah, blah" and i will remember to put your option "it isn't really good" ;-) |

just to be sure i wasn't missing out on a great release, i listened to some samples at warprecords, then dug out my copy of geogaddi to give it another listen... i have to say i was pleasantly surprised at first, sounded better than what i remembered. but then i got bored of it in the middle of the album again. so i skipped the track i was listening to and listened to one of the best tracks on it from what i remembered instead, but even this one i got bored of... so i just stopped, put the record back in the drawer and listened to something else. that's the problem with boards of canada for me: they're like bubblegum... tastes/sounds nice (even if not groundbreaking), sweet (but artificial), and quite attractive (although it gets all limp)... and/but after a while when you chew on the same thing over and over again the taste wears away. |
