Does anyone remember the LBA games? The ones starring a
bizzare pony-tailed guy called Twinsen and lots of talking
elephants?

I've just been listening to the music from LBA2, and the
feeling of nostalgia is overpowering. I find it a bit
disturbing that the most powerful experience I remember from
my younger years involved playing that game. Citadelle
Island, Dino Fly, Funfrock, Zeelich, the Esmer invasion,
grobbos, driving the car around Desert Island...ahhhh.

I've miraculously still got the original 1997 disc, so I
play it off that.

Nah, Twinsun was the planet, Twinsen was the main character.
;-)

And then there was Emrald Moon and Zeelich. Happy times.

It has more powerful memories for me then the likes of Super
Mario World and a number of Zelda games, and that's saying
something.

Years and years on, I still have vivid memories of the many
locations, characters, and tasks within the game.

Metroid Prime was my first experience of the series, I'm
ashamed to say. :-)

Never played the Secret of Mana either! But I have some of
its music on mp3. FF7 is another good one for inducing
overboard nostalgia.

my nostalgia started with "A link to the Past" on th SNES.
It was also where my obsession for F-Zero started. Mute
City!

Andeline got bought by Sega, and then got dropped by themm
too. The creators of LBA are no longer working together, but
Frederick Raynal (the main guy behind the LBA games) has
started a new company I believe. LBA3 hasn't actually been
started yet, but the story and ideas are pretty much
sorted.

I really, really need a sequal to LBA2, if not only for more
music in the same vein!
