Ok, all of these were taken in my backyard (a small one)
with my Sony Mavica (the big clunky kind of digital camera).
Hope you like them :D

the rusty meter ii is my favorite.

nice close-ups - they're IDM album covers waiting to happen.

I LOVE rust shots. There's just something special about
details in nature that I can't get away from. I specialize
in up close focusing. Whenever I try a picture from 5 feet
away or farther, it ends up horrible. I couldn't see them as
album covers though. If you want to use one, however, by all
means go ahead, just say who the photograph was from.

btw, i've been thinking of purchasing a digital camera.
what's a good brand that is not too expensive on the wallet?
i'm shooting for below $150, hopefully.

To ToXiKFB and Oddioblender: Sony Mavica Digital Camera. I
got mine at Walmart for under a $100.00 on sale. It's a
piece of crap camera, but if you can get good angles and
lighting, you are set. (Maybe a good focusing lens too.)

a focusing lens? so will my pics be blurry if don't get one?

Unfortunaly, I don't havea focusing lens attachment. I just
get lucky when it auto-focuses. I took about 115 pictures
today, and those were the ones I selected as looking "good"
out of them.

All I recommend is staying in one spot and take a billion
shots of the subject in different ways until one comes out
nice. That's all I ever do. Oh, and never try to take an
up-close picture of a spider. One jumped on me today and I
screamed like a girl when my neighboor was outside.

thanks again.

i used to be terribly afraid of spiders as well. i'm over
that now, but now i have a HORRIFIC fear of ladders.

nice macros..

oddio: buy a film camera (slr) for that price; it'll be
cheaper and better quality.
