...are really good. I bought sound dust for 7 pounds and
thought it was going to be a subpar album (because it was so
cheap) but it's actually very good. I want more.

Margerine Eclipse is also great, and Emperor Tomato Ketchup
too, and actually most Stereolab stuff, yeh. Check out
Monade too, Laetitia Sadier's sideproject thing.

Margerine Eclipse I love a lot, Peng is a classic for me
also.

sound dust has just the right amount of country & western on
it, to me. mmm, pedal steel.

Stereolab are very excellent. It sucks a lot that Mary
Hansen died.

Stereolab are great and the best thing is they got me into
the Free Design. What a contribution to my life. Cybele's
Reverie (sp?), I cherish.

I adore Stereolab and I agree with you about The Free
Design. My undying gratitude goes to you for introducing me
to them via that summer mix you made.

i'm a bit afraid of approaching the latest album. is it any
good ? should i listen ? "Fab Four Suture", i mean. is it
better/worse than Margerine Eclipse ? what think you ?

Dots and Loops, Transient Random-Noise... and Emperor Tomato
Ketchup are all great. The only negative thing about the
band is that a lot of their material sounds a bit similar.

Confirming The Free Design as a brilliant track. And the
video suits the song perfectly.

yes...when laetitia goes into vocal trance it gets a bit
boring. anyways, i'll listen to the new album on my own and
let you know what it's like. thansk for the support

it's a collection of singles, so it doesn't flow all that
smoothly as an album, but there are some pretty funky tracks
on it when they get going. one of their lesser releases.

offline obara from Utrecht on 2007-07-13 13:13 [#02102471]

thanks. i'll give it a go anyways

funky would sound strange as for stereolab....if i get what
you mean, of course

i think fab four suture is great. i expected it to suck but
it really is a good collection/album in its own right.

dots and loops was my first introduction to them and that
album will always be one of my favorites. they're such a
great band.

Transient Random-Noise Bursts With Announcements ties Dots
and Loops for favorite Stereolab album, for me.

the bass sound is fucking cool on fab four suture, kind of
70s funklike. i can see the strings move. nice and thick.

The Free Design the band or the song?

the song...but the band is creepily fun too.

All this band's work makes me really uneasy. A song could
have the most beautiful melody space lounge feel and I still
experience a slight panic. I don't know why this is, maybe
it's my claustrophobic dope fear memories of Emp Ketchup(?)
I still listen to them, though, and Dots n Loops is probably
my favorite.
