En kappe

it's a track... enjoy or do whatever you like. leave some
words if you feel like being nice (the words may be bad, but
leaving them is the nice thing to do).

thanks man!

yeah, it was supposed to just become some massive thing
before letting go, but it was just impossible to do, so I
just pitched it down down down (in a burning ring of fire).

Nice work. I put it in my Drunken Mastah folder. To be
perfectly honest - I liked Hvilepuls more than En kappe
though. I started to save your tracks few weeks ago
therefore surely I missed something I suppose.

By the way, usually where do you host your own tracks or
other stuff? I'd like to know some site where the files
don't expire.

it's a GREAT song! the melodies are great... it's great.
the only problem is the production. the bass drum is too
flat and static sounding... the drums could be a little
more interesting.

nice mellow synth chords at the beginning, nice textures
going on in the background, lots of little subtleties
throughout. i like the analog-sounding crackle in this
track. nice retro synth for the melody as well. the drums
could be more interesting but since this isn't really a
groove track, more of a lay back and enjoy track, they are
acceptable. good stuff. well done.

great! thanks guys!

tridenti: more stuff

r40f: thanks! I'll look into making it more punchy.. do you
know of any specific way to do it? I suck at eq++...
generally about the drums this time, though, I thought I'd
spend more time on the rest of the piece, as I normally
spend so much time trying to keep the percussion varied...

don't get me wrong, i like how the drums are kind of simple
- i think that's good.

if you want a lot of bass, try adding at around 200hz... i
was thinking the kick could use a slight amount of reverb or
something... just so it sounds less like a sample. just
suggestions, though.

I'll give the kick a round of reverb and some boost at 200
then.

it's a layered drum, though.. half of it is a regular kick
sample and the other is the little jump on the inner groove
of a vinyl... either that or me thumping the needle on a
flat surface.

yeah, the kick should be a bit louder in the mix... it
sounds too buried... i would add some bass range eq and
make it a little louder...

ok. now it's properly uploaded.. is the new kick too heavy?

no, it's not too heavy... i think it's just right eq-wise.
it sounds like a kick drum now. :D a definite improvement.
the tune sounds more solid already.
