liberty is the right to and the right to use freedoms. freedoms are personal erm..... liberties.

I'd go with Liberty because I think GW Bush has rendered the word "freedom" into just some abstract sound through constant use.

I think they are two meaningless words invented to make people feel good about themselves and about their lives - from the time we are dependent upon our parents to feed us and clothe us as babies until the time we are dependent upon whoever it is who stuffs us in the ground or in an urn, we are always in bondage to someone or something.
