When i went to a record store in Dublin, this one was
playing so i asked what it was, and the guy showed me the
cover art.
He said he thought it was one of drexcya's guys. Either way,
i think it's quite good (read: fantastic).

so, yeah.

cheers i'll have a look in a bit.

i was just browsing discogs and made my way to drexciya.
There are some really nice reviews there, so i think i
should start checking them out. but which one to start with?

i love this release. among the very finest in the rephlex
catalog. quality vinyl, traditional rephlex errors in the
cover art, and awesome electro. never heard anything quite
like it.

i like the first 5 short, beatless tracks. "entrophic decay"
is great arrhythmic electro. and it's all uphill from there,
classic tunes.

i would listen to drexciya 3 if you can get your hands on
it.

i also picked up collapse of the wave function vol. 4
yesterday and it's fantastic.

On my first listen I HATED it, went nowhere, very boring.

Now I love it, and want more Arpanet!!! 3 albums aint
enough!

On my first listen I HATED it,
Now I love it,

that's the whole thing about rephlex releases. they are not
music that most will immediately understand. if you are
feared of what you don't know you may make a hastey
judgement that you perhaps shouldn't. after all i guess
aphex wouldnt choose these tracks for rephlex after all
these years etc...
would he? unless it's all a big joke on us! ;)

i dont know any "bad" release from the dataphysix family so
far but indeed the recent ones are fantastic ; inertial
frame & the latest calabi-yo!. i just hopes he will release
that first track (synth arpegios) they played at la géode
last year ( i'd love to hear a proper live album, just like
tangerine dream back in the early 70s).

their ratio of quality/quantity is HUGE.

youtube vids). very strange atmosphere. great memories.

yeah, it's good. kinda tired of the latest outings though, i
kinda miss the more cheery melodic side of him.
