hi redrum. I will be back in Dublin sometime, and i will
have a pint with you. Preferably not in hogan's though,
wayyyyyy too crowded but yeah cool pub anyhow.

So what exactly do you mean when you say 'i'm off to
wicklow' ? It's like an area right? are you from a place
called redrum? cause i've seen lots of places that end on
rum and stuff. But yeah i guess you could also be a big fan
of the shining.

tridenti: thanks. woofer was there a few weeks ago.

oddio: thanks. the bridge is very nice, but the photo is
very cheesy. but please, do try and save up for a camera.
They are so much fun. Look on ebay! i recommend the canon
powershot pro1, which is VERY affordable atm.

Awesome Jeroen! Those pics look great. I swear when i see
photos of ireland that the sky seems more pure than here.
Stupid dirty United States!!! :p

Thanks for sharing these! You are so lucky that you got to
go!

Yes with the lovely radioactive water that lies off the
coast...Dublin is a place for those looking to escape the
sky of the US.

:)))))

toxic: so thats what it's called? we figured dublin was
right next to the sea. Turned out to be a 2.5 hour walk
through pikeyville and industrytown! We went back by bus. I
liked the buses a lot.

I also had a quick visit to the national gallery, and the
long hall in trinity college. For the rest mainly pubs :D

VP: thanks man. The skies probably are purer, but i cheated
quite a bit by using a polarizing filter, which adds extra
contrast to the sky, hence the dramatic dark blue effect.
Yes i am a very lucky guy when it comes to travelling. I
love seeing new places, and Ireland is now on my 'have to go
back' list.

Sorry if i missed the news, but weren't you coming 'this'
way?

My family is originally from near Drogheda. My uncle still
lives there and is a fisherman, he showed me photo's of the
reflective film on top of the water which intensifies the
closer to sellafield you get...wierd to say the least.

I am trying to google a pic of the milwaukee river so you
can see how brown and full of garbage and discarded bodies
it is.

Something had too be done with our 100 (ones we know about)
homicides thus far.

Cool pics. I'm constantly amazed at how nice dublin can look
through the eyes of a tourist. I personally think its crappy
but always enjoy it more when hanging around with foreign
friends.

funny to see a topic of mine resurrected :)

we were INSANELY lucky regarding weather.

those buses are cool and sitting upstairs and at the front
is awesome.

by the way woofer, i remembered what you said about how you
should volunteer at jameson distillery but im happy i didnt!
the stuff only smells great to me, not too keen on the
taste. Then i found out i lost my entrance ticket, and i had
to kindly ask the bartender to provide me with a free glass
of whiskey, and i got 2! :D

wow i had a good time there, and it was only the beginning.
I would love to do a whole ireland tour by car.

I came back from Dublin last week... it is a lovely place.

looking like a goon meeting Steve Reich.

I will be back soon, definately!

is that a photo of dublin or of somewhere in the ukraine?

because i see identical chimney stacks (the tops of them, at
least) whenever i walk into sandymount village; the strand
(ugly beach in this photo) is about a 7 minute walk from
where i'm currently living.
