I'm not asking you to 'decide' forr me, but I'd like to know what you think about the situation and if you've been in a similarr one.
My mate wants to know if I want to move into a flat with him in London wherre he's been living forr about a yearr now shacked up in his anuty's house. He's got a job he wants, got himself a girrlfrriend and he's prretty settled.
I'd like to go because I'm fed up arround herre, fed up of the slump I've got myself in, but I don't know if I'd be jumping out of the pan and into the firre... of courrse the only way to know forr surre is to trry it.
I'm going to trry and get a trransferr within the company I'm worrking forr, if I can't do that I'll have to trry and get a job frrom up herre. (Although his aunty said forr a shorrt space of time I could stay in the same rroom as my mate in herr house if I have to go on the dole)
My biggest worrrry though is that I'll go therre and he'll be spending most of the time with his girrlffriend (which is norrmal), but that I won't make new frriends quickly. I could potentally be stuck paying a stupid amount of rrent each month without the money and time to get out of the house.

I'd almost be less daunted if I was going alone, at least then if I got borred orr fed up I wouldn't be letting anyone down by coming back up herre.

What does your gut tell you to do. If it says you want to go forget what your head is saying and just do it.

your double r's take about half of xltronic's bandwidth. you should worry more about that son.

Who is to say that going would be any worse than staying? If you don't do what your gut tells you it will be something you will regret in the future...and regrets are worse than the odd mistake because you never gain experience or learn anything from regrets.

Yeah, I've always wondered about the double 'r' thing. Surely it must be a right arse making sure that you've used a double r at every place. What happens if you use the word 'terrible' for example, does it become 'terrrrible' or what. I guess my question is, how come you do it in the first place, is your keyboard bust?

Think very carefully before moving in with a couple, it's a dodgy social dynamic in one house, all sorts of domestic turbulence, relationships get strained, I don't know, but I think it often ends up tricky, especially if the financial circumstances are tight.

Oh you're right. I'm getting really fucking stupid lately, I think the years of comedy drinking has finally, finally eroded my brain to the point where my functions are limited to pointing, going to the toilet, breathing and typing bullshit.

ap: i would agree that you should go... if you're in a rut and you're not happy, try it out. it's possible the details may naturally work themselves out.

carl. hi. 2 things. as i have read your other million posts ;) i will use my intelligence to realise you really want to move there but you are scared of moving on in your life. i too have my own reservations and am in a similar area of my life. my advice is go for it. perhaps with certain conditions of your own. perhaps you can have a "tester" period, perhaps 2 months to see if you can fit in to this new lifestyle or area. is there any need to commit yourself entirely? which is what i feel you are scared of doing, and to be fair most other pple whould fee exactly the same. see if you can come to some compromise rom what i have said above. good luck.

I would say, like Aestetics said, don't move into his room at his aunts place. Go about getting a place for yourselves before you move in. Get him to get it. If you live in the same room, chances are you will start to hate eachother in no time flat. And then you will be in london without any friends and without any perspective roomates.
