how do i produce a slow-drum loop that sounds like
Portishead, Urchin - Shitewrecked(that song), Squarepusher -
Ufo's over leytington?

Ive been trying to experiment with different tempos and
reverb and im not sure what i should be doing, im using
fruit loops 5.

much help appreciated.

'fraid i can't. but anyone who's heard squarepusher listen
from 53 seconds onwards or anyone who's heard any of
portishead's stuff (the heavy, slow, gritty sounds)

make a fast beat like "dimotane co", tone it down, and
voila, you have the beat for "ufo's over leytonstone". (true
story)

Just going on what you have described I would guess it would
just be a case of pitching the samples down and slowing the
tempo.

interesting, dimotane co certainly has the bongo sounds from
U.F.O. I can't give it a go though because Acid is being gay
and won't let me use samples because of 'copyright' plugin
stuff.

I will see what i can do

article called "How to make Trip Hop" or something along
those lines.

can't remember any of the tricks, sorry.
