As I said in another thread - I've really not connected with
much of Aaron Funk's material before. I've heard it, but
I've never given it my full attention. There was always
something else I'd rather listen to I guess.
I was sent this album as a promo and finally sat down to
listen to a VSnares LP from start to finish.
While I wasn't blown away by it, I felt it had its moments -
and I'm intrigued by some of the negative comments that have
been floating around XLT about this record.

Meathole Trivia: The album was recorded in 2003,
before Aaron's last couple of releases. For some reason he's
decided to backtrack and put it out now.

ive only heard the samples form mu and i loved em and im
really looking forward to hearing this properly
i do think its pretty weird that it was recorded between
winter in the belly and huge chrome blah blah
seems a really odd way to release things
i guess maybe he begun with a big catalogoue and has been
catching up since
sorta intrigues you as to what hes actually writting at the
moment

if you think about it its impressive that he releases these
albums years later and still they dont sound outdated in my
opinion anyhow

this album seems to be composed in two parts, two halfs...
first 4 tracks are very hard, energic, wild snare beats with
aanguish and contain as real favourites of mine

then there is this second half, very calmed down... even
melodic... not as much as rossz, but close...

this fact makes this album very listenable al through it, as
your ears dont get tired

Aanguish is super. Best on whole album in my opinion.

its intense, but not too intense.

i didn't think so at first, but this is a truly great album.
'great flow' is a good way to describe it. don't you just
love the strings at the end of track 6 and the start of
track 7, the highlight of the album.

I am now truly in love with the end of track 6.

So. damn. awesome.

thats a good album - you can tell by its length and lack of
direction its not a proper album, i feel

i think the fact its from 2003 is bullshit - one of those
tracks sounds like a rossc cadiaglkajgdahurgadfgj outtake

it reminds me of 2735486a513687654 in that its just a
collection of hard drive space clearing music

meathole is good...!!!

I saw this in the store today, but I didn't listen to it :(

But the cover is revolting! It did catch my eye for ugliness
:-s
