ill just d/l it off the internet, and you can cry about how
the people are stealing your art, then we can make the point
that your art isnt really worth how much your asking for it,
and possibly someday we can all reach the same goal, until
then, we all fail.

good luck mate.

I always wanted to write a book about an arrogant, party
loving physics prodigy. Told from the perpective of an
uptight former school friend who is paid to keep and eye on
him so that he doesn't get too wasted and not produce any
work. The friend resents his genius, and it would be funny
in a bitter twisted sort of way.

Taffmonster, what would this book/film be about, or have you
not got to that stage in this particular project?

well im stuck plot wise
i know my main character though cos its inspired by friend
kim she has epilepsy but its temporal in the fact that the
epilepsy is triggered by a malfunv=ction in the memory
centre. so basically when ever she remebers this certain
memory she has an epileptic fit and cant remeber what the
memory was. it could be anything she just doesnt know cos
when she thinks of it she has a fit.
i dont want that to be the plot though just an aspect cos
like who needs another fight club/momento

i was also thinking of writting one about fate. i mean not
the idea of fate but fate as a literal personbut then i dont
wanna sound like terry pratchett and i can imagine id get
all humorous with it

Hmmm....why don't we collabarate on a book/film about a
physics prodigy with epilepsy?

how about in stead of a physics prodigy (as otherwise it
becomes Pi)
we do fate and his minder has the epilepsy

No, my idea is for a totally different character from Pi.
He's a regular early-twentysomething guy who likes to get
wasted and party but he's like, the smartest human who has
ever lived. He's on the verge of discovering cold fusion
(which would solve all the world's energy/pollution
problems, but is too drunk or coked up most of the time to
work on it. His friend was hired by Oxford university to go
on a book tour with him and make sure he behaves himself. He
resents his genius former-buddy because he feels like he's
just squandering his talent to get birds and booze. It would
be funny and satirical rather than moody and dark like Pi.
It's basically a story about jealousy and friendship.

still sounds kinda like a cross between pi and good will
hunting (not that thats a bad thing)

Your friend Kim's Epilepsy sounds interesting. The
story/film could be about her past. She has something big
and dark from her past that she must confront and resolve
however as it turns out the memory which is really causing
her to fit could be something mundane and tiny like eating
an iceblock or an old book or something.

i thought about that but i dunno it seems to predictable. i
mean i dunno really i dont wanna write something that seems
to contrived but then maybe im worrying so much about
originality im completely missing the point of storytelling

It would reference Good Will Hunting in a sort of knowing
way, in order to defuse any accusations of a ripoff. The
physics prodigy would be way less earnest than Matt Damon.

best thing to write about is something new, yeah you knew
that, but make it dreamy, or have a atmosphere, maybe use
something from your child-hood, like a story, and grow on
that.

I know someone whos an often-drunk and belligerent physics
genius. He went to work in this underground lab and split
atoms and shit, but now he likes to get drunk and slap
people in the face and laugh at the proceeding bitching and
button-pushing.

I've actually been wanting to do this sort of thing for the
past 3 years now, but only in recent months has it become
clear what my story theme would be. However, the only info I
will divulge at the moment is that it is science fiction,
but it does NOT involve aliens or outer space.

I am being sincere.
