yo!
got a couple tracks from my new band up online if anyone
fancies checking them out, studio demo version of "the
steeplechase" and also a live version of "childs toy"
featuring guest vocalist cameron milford from "The Golden
Spurs" recorded at the escape music festival which took
place a few weeks ago...
...would be nice to know what some of you think of this
stuff :)

fine..the tracks: i like the steeplechase.. nice
voice..great elektro..childs toy and spinning around..i
agree with korben dallas on the voice part but i like the
music..specialy the beat in spinning around..nuclues: she's
got a lovely voice, makes the song very sweet..good luck
with your new band!

I like "Child's Toy", particularly the trip hop style drums,
could easily be a sneaker pimps track. I think the rapidly
reverberating sound is a bit annoying/overused though. I
prefer unique sounds like that to be occassional rather than
near-constant. Other than that, I can't really fault it. The
piano outro is lovely.

Steeplechase: Sounds a bit like Adult doing a trip hop
track. I don't like it as much as child's toy. The out of
time drums that come in at around 1.23 sound like a shoddy
DJ trying to beat mix, messes it up, then decides better of
it and stops. The piano loop that comes in at 2.40 is good.
Interesting combination of abbrasive backing track and soft
vocals though. I like the vocal processing that occurs in
places, you struck a good balance on that, enough to be an
integral part to the song, but not so much that it gets
annoying (in terms of the wet/dry mix as well as the
frequency which it occurs).
