I was in grade 8. I made a tape of a ton of mods. Was like ``Oh cool I got my own music tape with music I made!`` but I had to name it. I was thinking ``What do people need?`` Oxygen ``What do people like?`` Fads I stuck the 2 together wrote it on a tape and I`m stuck with it now hahaha. Other names I had concidered were ... Pizza face hotdog men German Monkey Boner and the name I almost picked before Oxygenfad was Heavylourd. also at the time I was thinking of a good way to spread the name around, by making it easy to make fun of. I had this theory as a child that people really like to feel smart. So when they figure something out or here important blurb x they go around saying it like wild fire. fad and fag are very easy to confuse : ) It`s funny because I have explained this to many friends and it totally works. Some guy hates my guts and will be like ``Ah man I hate that fucking Oxygenfag guy`` then people will be like ``Who?`` and then that guy will have to explain to the person who I am and why I am this and that. How many idiots have you heard say ``I`d give her my Nine inch Nail uhhh hee yuk hee yuk`` ``Yeah I`m sure she likes Motorhead Aahhh hee yuk hee yuk`` Nobody gives a fuck about some trendy urban IDM name you know? I can`t think of a bad I don`t like just because of their name. If that were the case I would be listening to Pop will eat it self day and night cause thats an awesome band name : ) |
