I've been wondering if there's any fans of this here,
anyone know/love this? They were a really early electronic
group, like Fifty Foot Hose/Silver Apples/et al this is
their first album from 1969. Hard to describe, there's a few
weird light baroque-pop songs twisted around with tape
manipulation, and some traditionally twisted tracks that
aren't pop at all. Definite classical music influence
throughout and I think this has aged a lot better than a lot
of the other electronic wankery from back then.

More informaysun I tried to find samples but I'm too lazy,
samples are so 1997, anyway. Full album or bust.

I dug this out of my dad's record collection some time ago
after spotting the intriguing cover. And then I read about
Delia Derbyshire and how important a figure she is/was blah
blah blah. I only got around to playing it the other night
and it was pretty good; defo ahead of its time.

Yeah, very visionary. The second album sounds a bit cheesier
though, less emphasis on melding that wicked songwriting
with weird sounds, and more emphasis on... weird sounds. The
songwriting is definitely what makes An Electric Storm, for
me. And the vocals/voices.

Weird DATED sounds, I should say. A lot of it still holds up
pretty well though.
