I ordered an Alesis Ion synth from Digital Village (UK
synth shop) for 380GBP (I know that's VERY cheap) which I
had reserved on Wednesday 27th.
However, when I called in the Bristol branch (where I had
reserved my ex-demo unit) on Saturday, they had sold my
clearly reserved Ion.
Then, on the same day, they told me to ring on Monday as
they would most likely be getting a whole load of them
shipped in and, if this went according to plan, it would be
delivered to me on Tuesday.
I have now been told I will have to wait for 3 fucking weeks
when I will be on holiday to get this fucking Ion. I am NOT
happy and feel I should have this for at the most, 300
GBP.....

But I got the money for the Ion for my birthday. The Ion is
a present to myself.

Would you rather have paid full whack for it and not had a
slight wait?

Digital villiage is indeed shite.
When my behringer mixer went faulty (due to shit chinese
construction) they were such a pain about getting it
repaired, that I opened the thing up, found the fault,
ordered a few opamps from farnells and fixed the thing
myself.

never used hard to find online, but went to the shop once
when in brum, and it was not as large as the photos make out
and also the staff were annoyed that I didn't know how to
use their computer system to look up where things were in
the shop. its not like a proper record shop with 'jazz'
'electro', etc sections, its organised in a really gay way
with stuff in semi organised sections, so they can tell you
exactly that it is either here, there, there or there.
thanks!
