It seems like they finally found their nostalgic sound
again!

At first listen it sounds like the noise level of some songs
is a bit too loud, they should have played the noisy sound a
bit more to the background imo.

Although the noisy and wild tones they used they somehow
managed to keep their 60's sound. It must be Trish her voice
I guess.

Great album!

This album should have been The Noise Made by People ;)

As far as I know it's Steve Perkins who play the drums.

hmm, maybe barnes just plays them live then..anyway, when
you say noisy, what type of noise do you have in mind? :)

Difficult to explain...
Broadcast always used this kind of rough but slightly dosed
noise in their music, this time it's not in the background
but it's more in the foreground.

It is good I like it. They used a drum-machine for most of
the songs, since the drummer is gone or something.

barnes is pretty busy doing his thing..dunno about perkins.
surely they'll get a drummer for live thing.

I like the drum machine. It sounds really cheap, just like
it should.

find/bump..!

Black Cat is a great track!
It seems like this song is haunted by the monster of Come to
Daddy at some places.

i'm more for drums
rhythm machine's programming is quite average and it brings
to 'averageness' of their sound. more goldfrappy.
ladytrony...
BUT
broadcast are much better, the noise is like some telephone
interference ring modulated with some synthesisizers!

it went through headphones test, and it's even better!
her voice is not on teh top in the mix, it's treated just
lik another layer of sound.

and that distorted synths.....................

This album really rocks!

"August 8th 2005 will see the first fruits of Broadcast's
most recent recording sessions when a 2 track 7" will be
issued via Warp records on catalogue number 7WAP193"

"On September 19th 2005 [September 20th in the USA]
Broadcast's 3rd LP for Warp Records will be unveiled as a 14
track Compact Disk and a limited edition vinyl Long
Player"

Both will be mine for sure. :)

My first review is based on listening with headphones, when
listening to it on stereo the noisy sound effects seems to
be more in the background

I should've known...
