drivers SHOULD be fucking targeted for more money. If people
who actually lived within bike or walk-range of the place
they were going to actually walked or biked, it'd take a
huge load off the environment!

So should YOU. YOU should be tarrgeted.

cars are for long-distance and heavy transportation. shorter
distances are feet and bike-friendly.

if you parked illegally, I'm not against it. It's not hard
to spot those "no parking" signs. If you were 10 minutes
late back to your car when buying a parking ticket and all
that I think it's a bit over the top, but those meter-maids
(or whateverthefucktheyarecalled) couldn't possibly stand
around for 10 minutes at every car just to see if the owner
returns...

I'm mostly talking about the other fees.. I'm not sure which
of these you got in england, but here's there's a
environment fee you have to pay annually or something and
then there are various small fees to be paid once in a while
(gasoline is taxed or whatever, so it's a bit more pricy
than it could, and that doesn't bother me one bit. then
there are the road-fees.. I think that's annually too, and
it goes to upkeep of the roads. Then there's those booths
where you pay every time you pas).

it discourages them and makes them want to bike instead.

also, the money is used for anti-pollution things like
support to collective traffic and the creation of "green
lungs" or whatever that is called.

yeah, and the rich ones have enough money, so they should
really not be upset that they have to pay for some
environment help. the poor ones can enjoy the cheaper and
better collective transportation systems that are made
possible by the money paid by the rich bastards.

a tip from me.
take your £60 fine to the bank. ask for it in 10 pence
pieces.

then simply hand over to the bastard in the parking office,
take a seat and read a magazine till theyre finished
counting.

the carr parrk at the verry end of the day and got the
ticket at 5.26, which is 4 minutes beforre you don't have to

aye, they get paid commission so thats their incentive for
booking as many cars as they can. you know they get paid
double per car at christmas as well?
i seriously fucking hate parking wardens. like police, i
think you have to be at least a bit of a prick to want to be
one.

Take it from one who knows, 95% of parking-relating jobs are
staffed by absolute, utter cunts. It seems to breed a
twisted kind of Us vs Them attitude, nasty.

60 quid is a lot of money :-/

i get parking tickets sometimes for forgetting to park on
the opposite side of my street on street-sweeping days,
twice a week. they're only $10, but i usually forget about
them until i get a notice in the mail, by which time they
cost me $20.

In the UK they are obliged to wait up to 4mins for the
driver, but you'd be very hard pushed to find one that does.

That's a complete and utterr joke, honestly. I'd kick off
big style. The only prroblem is it's neverr actually anyones
fault but yourr own. You can neverr get to the perrson who
decides it's a 'fault'

I heard some while ago that people that drive those 'people
carriers' or 4x4s were going to have their road tax (in the
UK) doubled. I think that is a good idea. What annoys me is
you see these people driving these massive 'off road
vehicles' and all the do is drop off little Jimmy at school.
The road is clogged with them about 8.30-9.00am in the
mornings! You could understand it if one of two parents took
it in turns, and picked up another 2 dozen kids....but they
dont!! Going back to the topic at hand, traffic wardens
should target these people as they stop on the yellow
'zigzags' outside schools!

why should it bother you that they're driving a 4x4 as
opposed to any other car.

those cars are made for steep hills and rough terrain. I'm
pretty sure they use more gasoline and pollute more than
other regular cars at same speeds... they have more powerful
engines, but that doesn't mean they go faster at lower
(don't know the translation.. rotation of the engine or
whatever.. the little measure-thingie that's x1000. the word
we use would be roughly translated to "revolutions" (in the
"going round" meaning of the word, and not the "oh, it's
something brand new" meaning)), but rather that they have
the power to climb a hill at lower (see last parenthesis).

anyway, I think they pollute more, and there really is no
need for them in the city.
