Flea Markets are incredibly shitty but I always end up buying shit. Parking was 3$ and entry was 3$. I asked the girl at the gate "Is this 3$ entry fee in addition to the $3 parking fee?" "Yes", she replied. The only thing I bought was a little bud buster (those wooden cups with metal prongs inside that break up marijuana easily). He had big ones and little ones. I said "2.50 for the little one" he said no. I asked him how much for the big ones to which he replied "10$" and 5$ for the little ones. I said "ok Ill take the little one for $5" and then he says "I'll give you a big one for $5 bucks". His bartering skills apparently weren't very well honed. My friend bought 3 old WWF figures, Farooq, Savio Vega and some other guy. They were all Nation of Domination members. 5$ for them all. My other pal bought a cannibal corpse patch for $5. So flea markets suck. They have shit. They price their items as if they weren't shit. Shit! |

I have fond memories of flea markets back in the day, finding old rare snes games for a cheap price was orgasmic :D I recently stumbled upon another flea market called the night market, its all asian there so I found allot of anime dvds (3 for 10$!). |

flea markets scare me. my mother always went to them and bought unecessary nick nacks. one time i got lost and hid under a table for 2 hours while my mother searched for me. i was too horribly frightened to come out though.. because there was a man dressed up like a clown walking around. |

hahaha, this thread has me laughing aloud. fav+ by the way, fleamarkets are undoubtedly shit, but the "Oldsmar Fleamarket" in my hometown had 2 videogame stores with dreamcast, saturn, NES, SNES, genesis, atari and more games and systems aplenty. That shit was definately cool, and felt like traveling back in time. Oh, and one of my best friends stole a 130 replica katana (it was actually sharp as fuck) from that fleamarket, as well as some airsoft guns from another store. Basically just because he didn't have the money to waste on that shit. not really condoning it, but he was fucking good at it. |

Fleamarkets are cool, WTF. I used to go shopping for comics, found some great prices. I like it when mothers and fathers with no idea just how valuable some games/comics/books/toys/DVDs are sell their offspring's shit for low prices, makes me feel guilty sometimes. Actually the general awareness of people that sell at fleamarkets seems to be bad, I've seen people selling games like Chrono Trigger for 5 bucks, when it's like 50 used in a game store. |

I think the overall quality varies from fleamarket to fleamarket. Generally what you find there is a bunch of stuff you can live without, but there are exceptions, such as the videogame opportunities. |

there's only one flea market in dublin I know of, and it's in rathmines and it's not really a flea market, just a market where scumbags sell the stuff they've recently nicked out of the adjoining houses. i went in once to see if i could get a bike but walked out again pretty swiftly - all the decent stuff was gone and there were two oldskool dubliners at the gate who looked at me as if they were about to stab me as i walked in. overall i would rate my fleamarket experience as 1/5. :D! |
