I was pondering the craziness of existing in space, farther from humankind than any other human. I asked him, "Wouldn't it be neat to be in space?" He replied, "Wouldn't it be neat to be trippin in space??" We were quiet for a moment, then I said, "We are trippin in space." This was profound, because we were tripping in space. This was the seeding of an unhealthy obsession with a fantasy space land where my name was Lance Danders, the photon kid, and he was Harold Donovan, space technology expert. We flew around is our ship, Cosmos II, a sentient beat making computer from a distant galaxy, and visited other dimensions thanks to a psionic dog. So.. i uh.. wrote a song about it. |
