is "jav" some sort of low-grade eastern european English
put-down or something?

i don't like that one, one bit..it bores me heavily..doesn't
even sound interesting live - they only played one song from
it when i saw them few days ago though, apperantly they
don't like it that much either :)

Chronomad's "Sokut" is definitely worth checking out.
Middle-Eastern influenced beatage without the clichés

yes. just be warned that the album is quite short (don't
remember the exact time, something like 30-40 minutes). : )

it's more poppy, yes, but still very good as an album imo..
of course I rank it below the other releases, but that
doesn't necessarily mean it's bad.

Luke Vibert - Lover's Acid CD is excellent. Picked it up
quite cheap here in OZ. Homewerk, Analord, Lover's Acid are
especially good I think.

Artist: FOETUS
Title: Love
Format: CD+DVD
CatalogNumber: BMR073
Price: $17.50
Label: Birdman
Release Date: 7/11/05

Love is the first release from Foetus in over three years
and his strongest record in a career of groundbreaking,
genre-busting, dirty and blissful, dark, flourishing rock
and electronics intensity. Do not file under industrial.
File under Mystery. This release goes way beyond all past
markers Foetus has set for the awaiting pack.

Love may have you scratching your head at, and perhaps
praying for, the person for whom this is a perception of
love. Love is a sweeping dramatic epic drenched in
harpsichord and orchestras and sound, with jarring left
turns and bombast, intensity and seduction. Love is a
startling immersive journey through the sonic excitement of
J.G.Thirlwell. The full length CD features a duet with
Jennifer Charles of Elysian Fields, while the full length
DVD contains: three videos from Love including "Blessed
Evening," directed by Karen O of Yeah Yeah Yeahs with
director of photography Spike Jonze; classic early live
footage; trailers of the J.G.Thirlwell-scored Venture
Brothers (currently airing on Adult Swim / Cartoon Network);
never-before-seen footage from upcoming Foetus documentary;
ultrasecret, very hidden delights that are not available
anywhere; and much more.

''THE CORAL -The invisible invasion (Deltasonic, 2005)''

That one sticks out to me, I've heard two of their earlier
albums and liked them, I'd assume this is at least sort of
cool but I didn't even know it existed. I guess I should get
it or something.

here's the pitch:

A groove-loaded bomb-drop of post-Afrobeat dance party
action from this Detroit band that sports members of
ANTIBALAS, SATURDAY LOOKS GOOD TO ME, CREEPERS, LARVAL, and
CLOUD NINE MUSIC, as well as contributions and production
from WARN DEFEVER (HIS NAME IS ALIVE). A booming testament
to the power of hot horns (seven players) and heavy
percussion (four drummers), rounded out with wah-wah
guitars, Fender Rhodes, and organs.
